Indian Visa Requirements
All foreigners need a visa to travel to India. The easiest option is the India eVisa, which can be done entirely online!
Steps to Apply:

Go to the official site: indianvisaonline.gov.in

Choose e-Visa by Bureau of Immigration, then click Apply Here for e-Visa.

Fill out the application (have your passport, photo, and flight info ready).

Please note that the e-Visa cannot be filled out until 30 days before your travel date. This applies for the 30 day travel visa.

The 1 year travel visa can be filled out 120 days before your travel date.

Pay the visa fee (usually around $25–$40).

You’ll receive your visa by email within 3-5 business days.

Pro Tips:

Apply as soon as possible.

Your visa photo should have a plain, white background.

Print a copy of your eVisa to carry with your passport. We recommend bringing a few copies.

Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months after the date of your arrival in India.

From the Airport to the Hotel:

Uber & Ola (India’s version of Lyft) are both available at the airport. Download the apps before your trip!

Prepaid airport taxis are also an option at the official taxi stand inside the terminal.

Most hotels can arrange a pickup service if you prefer something pre-booked.
Getting Around the City:

Uber or Ola are great for getting to sights, shopping, and restaurants.

Auto Rickshaws (Tuk-Tuks) are good for traveling short distances.

Most take cash only (small bills are handy!)

Always agree on the price before the ride or ask them to use the meter if taking the auto-rickshaw. Go by app pricing for Uber/Ola.

We will cover guest hotel rooms during the wedding, March 20th & 21st with checkout on 22nd (2 nights). Please RSVP by January 15, 2026 so we can provide you with a room!
